映画メモ 「マイインターン」

2015年公開。仕事の資料でもらっていたもの。

当時見た時よりも、刺さった。
仕事ができない、職場に行けない今、働いて人と関わることって尊いな、と。

面白かったセリフ

リタイヤした主人公のベンは、時間を埋めるために色々な事に挑戦したり、世界中を旅行したりしたが、何をしても自分の居場所だと感じられない。とにかく外に出よう、と毎日スターバックスに7：15には行く。そうすることで、社会の一部であるように感じられるから。
”No matter where I went, as soon as I got home, the nowhere-to-be thing hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized the key to this whole deal was to keep moving. Get up, get out of the house and go somewhere. Anywhere. Come rain or shine, I'm at my Starbucks by 7:15. (中略）Can't explain it, but it makes me feel part of something.
（降っても晴れても→なにがあっても）

その後は一日、ありとあらゆることをして過ごす。
"How do I spend the rest of my days? You name it. Golf, movies, books, pinochle, tried yoga, learned to cook, boought some plants, took classes in Mandarin."

（nameという動詞には、「指示する、指名する」という意味もあるので、そこから「あなたが選んで」→「なんでも」）

「42年間の結婚はどんな感じだった？」と聞かれ
”You know, when people say 'We wanna grow old together', we did that."
ステキなセリフ。

名詞の動詞化

使ってみたい表現

”take a rain check"はTOEICにも出てくる表現。

ファッションの会社での話なので、登場人物の服装もおしゃれ。

画像は見つけられなかったけど、冒頭のインターン面接した社員のファッションが一番可愛かった。紺の七分袖ジャケット、グレーのスウェット？、裾を折ったカーキのパンツにコンバース、金の長めのネックレスにブレスレット。その後の面接官の黒の七分丈パンツ、ボーダーＴシャツ、カーキのミリタリーシャツ、も可愛かった。
